ParticipantHi All,
I have the above dishwasher which stopped mid wash cycle with the tub full of dirty water, and the 2 digit display showing time remaining being blank, pressing reset switches has no effect and pressing any of the cycle select buttons just lights up the same segment on each of the 7 segment displays, opening and reclosing the door has no effect however a good firm close and a quick press of the mains switch will cause one of the pumps ( not sure if main wash or drain pumps) momentarily starts and stops.
Could this be a faulty switch or does it sound like terminal failure of the control module, the machine is around 13 years old and many of the plastics around the control module and mains switch seem to be going brittle with age and heat.
Thanks in advance.December 16, 2013 at 9:42 pm #406410Martin

Your dishwasher is listed as part of Bosch’s safety recall. Contact Bosch and they will replace the control module FREE of charge. Look HERE for all the details. 😀

Hi Martin thanks for the reply, i’m sure i checked the data plate against the recall notice before and our machine was not one of the affected batch of machines, i will however check again. If our machine isn’t one of the faulty recalled batch are there any other suggestions?
once again TIA

Double check the FD number after the ENr number to confirm it falls within the production date of the recall.
From your description of the fault the control module DOES need replacing.

Evening All,
Just thought i would post an update. Machine was within the range of machines affected by the recall. Bosch came out on friday and replaced the controller and all is now ok again.
Many thanks to Martin for pointing out the recall notice, Having checked the price of the controller (ouch) 🙁 , a 12 year old machine would be BER.Have a good christmas!!
