    Hi,

I’ve been through this Forum over the last few days trying various things to sort this pain in the neck dishwasher out and I still cant get it to work. So, before I phone an engineer I thought I’d ask the experts.

Last Sunday evening we had just put the dishwasher on and after about 30 mins the power went off in the whole house. Something had tripped the switch. Put it back on, everything fine. Until about four hours later I realised that the dishwasher was still going, it was stuck at 0:01. Basically it wont finish a cycle and there is no heat. It leaves water in the base just above the bottom floor but when I reset the dishwasher on the front panel it then empties so the pump seems to be working. I have had all the filters out and and unscrewed the part above the small wheel inside and cleared all the gunge out. Thought this would do the trick but no luck there. Then I read about the problem with the PCB and the faulty solder. So, I dismantled the front but no obvious blown solder, everything looked fine. I’ve checked all the pipes at the back, everything clear. I took the side off and found lots of crazy stuff underneath including what looked like brown gunge in the clear plastic tubes. Thats where I got stuck, I could see no way in??? Please Help!!!

Could this be the cause of the problem and does that explain the no heat problem or do I have a faulty heating element that needs replacing and if so can I replace it myself and most important of all……….. where the hell is it??

I’d really appreciate any help that you can give even if its just to confirm that I need to ring an Engineer, washing up all night is not my favourite past time!!

    Cheers.

    MrO
