ParticipantBeen to a Bosch SGS56E02/GB when it is in latter stages of programme it goes from 008 on display to 003 then will remain at 001 for ages, i did get loads of grit in sump & removed all this about a week ago, water had not been draining properly, is ther a turbidy sensor or summit in this machine that senses that water is still dirty??

Yes their is and it’s a bit tricky to take it out of the heater box and clean too. Assuming the customer has used salt and/or set the water softener correctly all the while and that the pipework is clear (take the top spray tubing off at the heaterbox to check for dishwasher tablet wrappers jammed and stuff like that).
If all looks OK then suggest the customer uses dishwasher cleaner for a while to clear the gunge out from that heater box/infrared sensor

Try cleaning ribbed pipe from pressure unit to sump, situated at front. O ringed either end for ease of extraction 🙂

Cheers guys for the replies, would this cause the problem described of machine not finishing & staying with a few minutes on the display, even though there is no water in sump.

Isn’t that a fault code at the end?
Put it on a test cycle and see what comes up….error 1 is the turbidity sensor if memory serves, but this will show at the start of any test cycle anyway…at least until the full cycle is run and the sensor calibrated again whereupon the code 1 will disappear. (learned this the hard way by changing a sensor which martin states is a bit tricky….i’d call it a pig!) 😆

ohhh….i have had one where the element itself had blown which left a ‘1’ in the display at the end 😉
