Bosch SGS57E22GB/73 Not Heating

Good afternoon everyone,

Wondering if anyone can assist with the above problem.

I’ve ascertained that the m/c is not heating the water, although does perform a wash cycle to a degree.

I/ve ascertained that the heater unit produces a good insulation reading, and that no power is reaching the unit.

I’ve also removed the main electronic control module, and upon visual inspection it appears ok, as do the board connections, and wiring multi-plugs.

Could someone let me know where I should be looking next, and if there is a test procedure.

No trouble codes are displayed, and the unit does count down on a quick wash, albeit without heat!

The dishwashers that I’ve come across with such a fault, have always aborted the programme, and reverted to a “safety cycle.”

No power to the heater has got to suggest the module is at fault or the connections between the two. I’m assuming there’s plenty of water flowing through the heater and that the heater safety microswitch is operating OK?

Hello Martin,

Not checked the water flow through the heater, but flowing into sump and washing well.

The microswitch attached to the heater is fine, giving a .2 Ohms reading.

If the model is on the “list” customer can get a free module change for no heat fault by calling some number or other.
Here’s what I found with a quick search using the terms, “free +repair +fire” The search engine here will give results if you think laterally 😆 .
