    Hi
My dishwasher is now 3 years old & it has strted to show long running times, ie 157 mins for intensive wash should read 97 min,128 Auto should read approx 118, Eco 159 should read appox 120.It uses 3-1 tablets as well as salt & rinse aid.It is in a hard water area Poole Dorset.

    Any Ideas ?

Well yes, firstly your machine is a complex piece of kit and contains various components that possibly may by now need checking over by an expert. 😉

But the chances are the ‘Turbity Sensor’ has got gunged up and at best will need flushing out, at worst replacing? (That’s an infra red dirty water sensing device by the way). What you can do is run a cleaning cycle using dishwasher cleaner (Finish do one) and follow the instructions on the packet. If it is a turbidity sensor problem then it may take a few cleaning cycles to sort it before the timing sequence settles to a more reasonable time frame? No guarantee on that though. 🙁

Also? It may be a water heater malfunction? But you’d realise that soon enough as the machine won’t heat the water anyway? And finally, the water level sensor may be gunged up? Again expert attention is advisable. Check the link below for an engineer in your area to sort it for you. 😉

    Thanks Martin

I used Tesco Dishwasher, It cleaned the m/c & cured the fault! A simple fix. The intensive wash time is now down to 95 minutes.
    Many Thanks
