ParticipantHello all again!
My trusty dishwasher is having a fickle moment again! It appears to be getting stuck at 1min left and running the fan(if it has one?) for a very long time. I am using cheap rinse aid at the moment and wonder if that’s part of the problem (expensive stuff waiting to go in). The wash I put on this morning was due to finish at 9am and was still displaying 1min and the fan running at 11.30! The dishes are coming out clean, it’s just taking a while to do!
Any ideas?
Cheers

ParticipantIs the applaince hot when you open up the door ? 1 minute left but sill running for hours after is normally evidence of a non-heating fault .
Search Bosch+1 minute on here and you will find plenty of good informative threads on your probable problem .

Been doing some digging around UKWG. Seems that all posts point to heater issues, or blocked pipwork.
I took the m/c apaart recently and cleaned (or thought I had!) all the flexible tubing I could see around the place. I cleaned the impeller blade (looks like a star?) and re-seated my motor.
The water temperature inside the machine is very hot (makes my glasses steam up instantly when door opend and look inside!!). Only a cold feed to the m/c so no heater from DHW…
There is a whirring noise coming from the m/c when stuck on 1min.
Does anyone have any model specific advice you can give me? If not, i don’t think I can get an engineer (HR3 postcode).I await your knowledgeable responses!

Update:
With reference to this excellent thread
viewtopic.php?f=33&t=44514I cleaned the hose and water level control according to the images…mine were identical to those pictured.
But…although the wash did complete and show 0 on the display, there was water left in the bottom of the machine (in the sump). So I emptied that out by disconnecting the 2nd hose in from the back of the machine.
I then ran a rinse cycle (only takes 20 mins!) and there was water in the sump…
so, thanks to this post

I checked all pipes connected with the pump, all ok.
Eventually I realised that the pump was not doing anything.
I had a sudden brainwave and checked under the machine, and found I’d knocked a connection off the pump. Re-connected and ‘hey presto’ working. So to summarise my findings…..
when 1 min is displayed for a long time, check the water is hot to eliminate the heater matrix.
then clean everything! and don’t forget the water level control, not as scary to disassemble as you may think! If your machine is not pumping, again check all tubing for blockage, including under the sink, clear the 1 way valve (little black rubber thing) and then make sure you haven’t accidentally knocked a wire off the pump!
Hope this helps someone!
