Bosch SGS6302GB/07 Dispenser not opening

The dispenser for our Bosch SGS6302GB/07 dishwasher has stopped automatically opening during a cycle but can still be operated (openedclosed) manually.

The rest of the machine operates normally and we have power etc.

Any advise on what I need to do to fix this?
Could it me an electronics control board that needs replacing?

If you operate the lid manually, does the cover “ping” accross?

yes, the spring is fine
I did removes the door panel erlier on the week to replace one of the buttons and wonder if when disconnecting hte wiring I may have shorted soemthign.

I thought the unit was turned off but then realised that it wasn’t.

If it tries to take your finger off, that’s good. It’s possible that the actuator has failed – it is a spare part; but as you say you have had the door panel off, I’d check that the plug to the module is located properly before going any further.

Seems the connection was not seated properly – fault now fixed.
