    Hi

Bosch SGS6302GB/07 won’t stop! The machine runs as normal for the full cycle but then continues to make the draining noise heard in the last 2 minutes. Once the time display says “0” the noise continues. (it ran for over 2 hours last night before I picked up the problem) I have removed the left side and right side but can’t see anything obvious that might cause this. Prior to this checked that what was being pumped out through the waste hose… it all seems fine… any thoughts before I call an engineer.

    Hi
It maybe worth checking the clear ribbed hose that runs from the metering unit to the sump (behind front lower panel) also check that the metering unit and the water matrix on the l/h side arent visibily crudded up.
Un plug appliance if you are to investigate :plug:

    Thanks Gegsy,

I had a look at the plastic bumper under the door… but I’m not sure how to remove it… (control panel facia is cracked so I assume that this panel is the same flimsy ABS)

any suggestions? there are no obvious fixing points or places to insert a screw driver blade and pop it off?

Metering unit doesn’t look too bad apart from one “piston” type part (lower left near door hinge mech) connected to a switch and a connecting rod connecting to what I assume is the “anti flood” float I have read about in other posts

    thanks

    Hi
Front lower panel should come off with 2 torx 20 screws to gain access. Can’t really give you a full strip down guide sorry.

If you are in any doubts please feel free to use the engineer link below.

    Dear Gegsy

The only torx screws I can see are at the sides… I took one out when removing the sides I would have said it was nearer 60mm in length… is that what you meant or are should there be torx on the front? (can’t see any)

    thanks

    Re: Bosch SGS6302GB/07 won’t stop!

Should be a metal plate that is connected to that plastic base part you mention, this has 2 torx 20 screws at the front to enable it to be removed.

    Re: Bosch SGS6302GB/07 won’t stop!

    OK

futher investigation… I now have sucessfully removed and cleaned the pipe in question but it was not blocked.
I have also removed the filter grill from inside the machine and removed the impellor cover to check that too… everything seems OK… another observation is that when the machine is turned on it immediately starts ( i.e. it doesn’t do the usual gradual start) as if it is already a little way into the prgram.
I also notice that the time for the program I usually used was reduce, normally the display read 96 (minutes) it now reads 80… it’s very much like the cycle isn’t finishing properly and so the machine assumes because there is still some water at the start that the program has already begun?

Still when it reaches “0” the machine continues to operate

Which “operation” is it carrying out? If it’s flooded (or thinks it’s flooded) the drain pump will run continuously as long as the power is on.

    Hi
I have assumed that there is no water in the plastic base below the main stainless tank, as you said you have gained access to the inside and not mentioned seeing any water that may have driven the anti-flood float.
