I’ve got a Bosch SGS66A02GB/17, five years old, that has started playing up.

First of all it was going through a wash cycle with no problems but the time remaining would get down to 1, and stay there. Sounded like something was still running, and pressing reset activated the pump, and the timer then dropped to zero. Reading on this forum and some others it would appear a common fault with this model is the control module developing a fault, so, bought a new one.

This has been fitted, and now the dishwasher completes the cycle ok, timer drops to zero, but when you open the door, it doesn’t feel too hot, and some of the dishes are still wet. And when I say completes cycle ok, it does, but it also takes 180 minutes on Auto, for a load that would previously have been done in around 90 minutes.

I’ve run a dishwasher cleaner through, on Intensive, definitely getting hot, but still have a problem with the drying aspect, and the length of time.

Before I admit defeat and call an engineer, what else can I try looking at?

    Thanks,
    Paul

You might want to check for continuity through the heater 😉

IIRC the 1 minute left you were experiencing is actually error code 1 which means ‘no heat rise detected in the alloted time’

It’s not unknown for the heaters to let go on these…and not a quick diy job unfortunately.

If you need one, email to Shop@ part no. 483058 around £75 plus the usual, don’t forget to unplug before going in :zap:
