Bosch SGS6962GB/13 dishwasher 199 minute wash!!

Bosch SGS6962GB/13 dishwasher. FD 8201.

The 55/65 degree and Eco 50 degree programmes show 199 minutes as their running times!! 😯
Customer says that it is a true 199 minutes to run through the cycle. I have cleaned the fill metering system so the machine works fine on all programmes but the above mentioned pair!!

Any thoughts? I can only conclude it is the PCB. All help appreciated!!! 😀

Does it heat ?. Is the water level ok, if not have you checked the dump valve on the side chamber ?.

This model also has the turbidity sensor, which comes into play on the auto programme. If the sump hose was crudded up chances are that is too.

Would be surprised if it’s the PCB TBH. More likely to be a sensor of some kind and the PCB is waiting on it.

Hi The 55/65 is usually an “Auto” setting which basically it relies on the aquasensor or turbidity sensor to look at the water quality and adjust the wash times accordingly.
If you had a heating fault you would get an error code 2 in the display.

It could be that there was a fault that you have now cleared . The appliance will use the last time period for a cycle as a starting point . Has the customer run a full cycle yet as you may find that after 20 mins in it will suddenly drop down 30/40 mins and then subequently settle itself down into a normal time period.

This is , of course , dependant on it filling heating draining ok.

Fills, heats, drains, washes – all components seem to work OK. The metering system was quite blocked and would trigger the pump on and off during filling. After the clean out, that fault had cleared.
I’ll call the customer tomorrow after she has done a couple of cycles and see how it’s progressing.
Will the turbidity sensor clean itself up now the sump is clear?

Nothing to do with Dishwashers but there was once a Hotpoint Microtronic Washing Machine which sometimes took up to 4 hours to complete a Mixed Wash.

That came straight from Hotpoint technical Dept (When they had a technical Dept)
