Bosch SGS6962GB13 top basket not washing properly.

Another problem with this machine, it’s about 6 years old now.

The dishes and cups etc in the top basket are not washing properly. I took all the arms out, not blocked and clean. I checked the sump, cleaned filter, checked pump impellor all fine. I checked the pipework which runs up the back inside the machine, all clear.

I ran the machine briefly with the door open, the bottom arm turns well, the water hit the ceiling, but the top arm seems weak.

Any ideas?

Water diverter unit attached to the heater will have failed in the “bottom” position. This is almost certainly a mechnical problem and will require the heater assembly to be replaced. Nasty, nasty job as the entire stainless cavity has to come off the base unit for access.

Hmm, sounds like it’s the end of the road for this now. Not all that impressed to be honest, what with the pressure vessel problems and now this.
