ParticipantHi I have been to one of these today the customer told me that the plates etc are not coming out clean.
When first switched on and the machine starts to fill it sounds very much like the water valve is getting power on and off very quickly and the water pipes in the house bang. I have had one like this before and it turned out to be the impellor jug, but I have checked on connect and I cant find one listed for this model. Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks RayFebruary 4, 2010 at 5:07 pm #311011bobnorris

Hi Ray,
I see this problem regularly because we’ve got hard water. This machine uses the conventional bosch pressure chamber regulater 480740 which gets blocked with crud. Also the hose leading into the sump.Take off the left side of the cabinet and observe the sludge.remove both parts and clean out.The customer wont believe how much better it washes with a decent water level!

I see connect list this part as 5031687762108 or 499570.

Hi Bob thanks for that. Does the chamber being blocked also cause the intermittent filling.
Thanks

ParticipantIts not only the water valve that you can hear ‘pulsing’ …it’s the pump too.
Follow Bob’s advice and you won’t be far off. Pressure chamber and hose between chamber and sump will be crudded up.
…and yes , if the pressure chamber is blocked the water can ‘back-up’ and it can trick the machine into thinking its already full of water when there isn’t any in there.

Paul’s spot on.Just as a bit more help, you have to remove the large fill/empty vessel on the left first and have a bowl ready to catch the water which will pour out .
