Dishwasher will not fill automatically. I found the only way to get it to fill is to lift the anti-flood pushrod hence activating the microswitch .
The machine will fill and then shut off when full, starting the wash cycle?
Everything else after that works normally? seems strange that it will only FILL while tripping the anti-flood? Help!

The purpose of the Anit-flood switch if activated is to drain the water out and must not take water in.

Anit-flood is at the bottom of the dishwasher.

I think you are talking about the diffrent microswitch with the red rod on left hand side.

You have to check the mehansim on these to see if something is not clogged and why the water is not comming into that chamber

Thanks for the reply. I guess what threw me was the fact that the ‘red rod’ is resting in a cam arrangement with a polystyrene float in the tray. It looks logically that water in the tray would raise the rod and trip the microswitch shutting off the water. But this is not the case so I will investigate into the chamber not filling now i know different. Thanks again.
