ParticipantOriginal fault, machine dead, nothing worked whatever buttons pressed.
Confirmed supply to macine at on/off switch, and circuit through switch to control unit, checked edge connectors on pcb ok.Ordered up new control unit, programmed it as per instruction enlcosed in box.
Buttons/lights now working. Set a programme to confirm water coming in, circulation pump ok and outlet pump ok. Job done.Or so I thought, 😯 customer now says it goes through the programme without heating.
While coding the pcb as per the instructions, why does the instruction sheet show code 0 and 1 give the programme buttons the same programme designations ?
I shall be going back to the job early next week, to check the programming of the control box, and if that is ok will then check the usual pipe blockages and water level, also the heater etc.
Has anyone got a circuit diagram for this model, I would be very interested if you have please.

Probably something to do with whether or not the machine has a ‘sicasym’ pump system? And that depends on the machines date code? 😕

Martin
Date code 7905
Nothing on instruction sheet mentions a ‘sicasym’ pump system

No at FD7905 it wouldn’t as that is an early machine so you can ignore to 0 and 1 coding I reckon. It sounds as if the module you fitted is OK and now perhaps the darn heater has failed? 😕

Thanks Martin
The machine has 4 “programm” buttons, intensive, normal, eco, quick wash.
So the coding to get these programs should be code 0 or 1 by the instructions, I coded it to 1, but as I said ,why two codes that apparently achieve the same result?

Hi Malc
The module you have should have 5 buttons on it 😕
Double check the model if its no trouble 😉Greg

Hi Greg thanks for coming back on this problem. 🙂
Have just phoned customer, on a Sunday too 😆
They have confirmed 4 programme buttons on dishwasher.
Both the old and new control boxes have 5 switches on them, the buttons on the dishwaher are like a plastic membrane that fits on the control box, just a push on fit, so cant get that wrong.
The control box obviously fits several models as the instructions say
“in the case of appliances with 3 programme buttons, the control box must be programmed prior to installation in the control panel frame”
That is because you need to depress 4 buttons to initiate the coding, if you fit the box to the frame of course you only have access to 3 buttons.
I am sure that if the heater had failed before the control box gave up, customer would have noticed. It only took them one wash after I fitted the control box to realise no heat.
I just didn’t want to go back and pull machine apart looking for no heat fault, if it may have been the coding wrong.
I did ask customer to try a different programme, still no heat. 🙁

Original fault was dead……Im thinking that perhaps the heater faulted and blew original module.
You fit new heater, hey presto no heat because heater still u/s 😕Greg

No sign of any blow on module, checked that b4 ordering new.
But will have to go back and check heater etc anyway 🙁If I get it working will post back later.
Thanks
