I might be able to shed some more light now having been to a similar model today…this one didn’t have a baffle in the float chamber either which only leaves two possibilities.
Control of the flow rate is via two devices only, the first being a flow restrictor within the inlet valve. This can be accessed by undoing the supply hose then withdrawing the filter…inside you will see another plastic insert (in this case today it was red in colour) with a small rubber washer seated on it. The second is the inverted ‘U’ shaped tubing inside the water matrix (plastic moulding on the side) which has a small aperture inside through which the water has to force.
So…either the aperture within the matrix has enlarged (nigh-on impossible) or the flow restictor within the valve is faulty/missing.

Ok, it is definately not the water matrix, this part is brand new, I dropped the old one whilst cleaning it and it failed the bounce test.
By the ‘inlet valve’ I take it you meant the aquastop/connector on the mains supply. I disconnected it and removed the following parts:
Black filter and washer
Second pink filter
Blue restrictor with black rubber washer (I think it is a restictor)After removing the two filters I found the blue restrictor? to be sitting squint and jamned in this position. I gently removed it and found no further parts.
I have added photos of the sequence of parts and their position before removal to:
http://www.photobox.co.uk/album/205788778
I assume the restrictor should have been sitting straight and I am not sure which way it should have been sitting, washer facing inwards or outwards? Either way I cant see a face for the washer to seat on, could there be a part missing? The Bosch parts web site is not clear enough to determine which way things should be.

HTH?I’m glad you said that, I went to similar one about a week ago to replace a float eaten/destroyed by a mouse(and remove all the S&^{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} it left around the float) and afterwards cleaned the usual gunge out of float chamber and tube…but I didn’t see a baffle which prompted my reply the other day…… I thought I’d gone mad or was missing some thing… didn’t notice the restricter in the matrix but wasn’t really lloking for it.. will try and see one at the next job..

The restrictor should sit square in there with the washer facing back out towards the fill hose end…it doesn’t have a seat as such, it basically ‘floats’ on the plastic body of the restrictor, the idea being that the faster the flow rate the more it is pushed back against the holes in the restrictor body thereby slowing the flow going through it 😉
If you can pull it out then carefully push it home square i suspect the problem will go away 😆

Ok Job done, pressure through the system dropped and no leak.
Fingers crossed that was it.
Thanks everyone for the help and especially to Clive.
Cheers
