    Hi,
    My dishwasher fault is the diverter valve has come apart and is rattling away inside the housing. The element etc all seem ok.
    There are an lot of different heater heater assemblies although the grey main body looks generic. If I buy a used one ( given age of dishwasher, not sure its worth a new one ) as long as it has the turbidity sensor or whatever it is blanking the unused port if its from a dishwasher with that feature, can anyone tell if that is the compatibility issue.

    Thanks, Rob

    as far as i know there are mostly the same but cant be 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d}

    your part number is 491756

    if you find one on ebay and it gives a model you can look

    https://www.bosch-home.co.uk/customer-service/spare-parts-search

    and see if the part numbers match

    make sure you see a good picture of the divertor motor as they can leak from there when they wear

    Thanks Dave,

    I did find that part number as you suggest by searching my dishwasher model but trying to cross reference the code on the grey part ( eg my part has 5600044792 on it) with the Bosch part number then check if that will fit my model is a bit tricky. Other than I what think is a turbidity sensor in what is a blanked off port on my heater, its difficult to see what other difference there is.
    Thanks for the advice about the diverter, I will have a good look.

    turbidity sensor just checks water flow
    as long as it still has the safety switch by the heater then you can just leave it in, but disconnected

    Thanks Dave,
    might take a gamble and hope it fits.
