ParticipantHi
We have just had the water turned off to fix a leak in the bathroom and once it was turned back on the dishwasher, that has worked without fault for 4 years, declared a ‘Check Water Supply’ fault when we turned it on.
I’ve performed all the basic checks – the water is on and all the filters and impellers are clean and free of debris. When switched on the machine will start the cycle by doing a quick drain and then it starts to fill the bottom with water (this seems normal and also to prove, on some level, that water can get out and into the machine OK). After about a minute or so the CWS light comes on and the machine goes into a cycle of alternating between a very short (1-2 second) drain and fill. This continues until I cancel the program – it drains as normal and then ends.
Turning the mains water off might not be related but it certainly seems so. Have I managed to ‘confuse’ it somehow with a switch or sensor stuck in the wrong position?
Any help gratefully appreciated.
😀

This machine has an “Aquastop” fill hose. Turn off the supply tap. Loosen the connection for the hose and wait a few minutes, tighten the connection, put the water back on and try it.

Thanks for such a quick reply
I was really pleased when I red it as it sounded so simple but sadly it hasn’t solved the problem.
I did exactly as you said but the machine still reports the same CWS problem. I also took the supply pipe off and made sure the filters were clean and there were no blockages.
I’d be very interested in any other suggestions you might have.

Hi
It sounds like the flow meter/ impeller jug TBH thats gone west.
Failing that module.
Providing that there is a decent water pressure to appliance that is ❗Impeller jug is available from spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk quoting p/no 424099
Power off when working on appliance :plug:
