After a bit of advice, I have a Bosch SGV53E03GB/74 dishwasher. Went bang the other day and tripped the house. It wouldn’t power on afterwards. After checking the obvious, fuse and power was getting past the suppressor I checked the control board to find it had been fried:

Control board centre positive contact most burnt

I’m not sure on it’s age as it was here when I moved in (over 2 years ago) but from googling I think it’s nearly 10 years old and I’m not sure it’s worth fixing as the board isn’t cheap and I doubt it was the cause as looking at the tracks the centre positive contact is most burnt.

Following cable it leads to the door opening micro switch, but has a red/white cable on same burnt spade connector

Leads to the power button which is also linked to a fatter red/white cable

    this leads to the pump

So I think the pump is the cause? Any advice on what to do next or give up with it as a new pump and control board on a 10 year old dishwasher that still might not be the root cause isn’t economical?

Also are stress marks on the clips normal here:

    Thanks for any advice!

That is NOT the pump but the ‘instantaneous water heater’. So collectively the cost of replacing that lot is way beyond logical thinking. 🙁

Thanks for confirming my thoughts (even though I got the part wrong!).
