ParticipantBosch integrated washing machine – filling and draining, lights on control panel.
When I turn on the dishwasher, all the lights come on ,on the control panel.
The fill cycle starts, and the float level rises. On reaching a certain point , the float level (pressure operated diaphgram ) micro switch clicks, and the green wire on the float level is energised. However, the water continues to fill, and the over flow float switch then kicks in, and it energises the drain pump, which then starts to drain the water. When the over flow float level drops, the water starts to fill again and then drain and then fill again, and continues between fill and drain until turned off. The green wire on the float level switch goes to port 4 on the ‘verb’ part of the control board. The float level micro switch is definitely working , so I wonder is it the control board that is not working? Is it that the green wire is telling the control board , enough water is in the machine, but the board is not responding!!! The impeller jug (mentioned on other parts of this forum) rotates freely, so I don’t think it is this. The pcb board looks ok, no burnt marks on either side. The relay (shc sre303006 )in position k3 has a small indentation in it, could it be blown? Any help greatly appreciated. It is completely disassembled at the moment. The Impellor jug needs replacing. You don’t think it is faulty just because it is rotating, but it’s faulty alright.

Visions of a dishwasher spread about the kitchen floor with parts of it everywhere. The dog runs off with parts of it and the kids get the blame. The wife furious because she can’t get to the kitchen sink…….. Not an unusual phenomenon, in fact these scenes more and more commonplace thanks to the challenge of DIY and the Internet. 😉

On the sgv53e03gb/46, there seems to no impeller jug (flow meter). In my first post, I incorrectly called the ‘impeller’ on the circulation pump an ‘impeller jug’. On my model, the water level is controlled by a float level switch, which has a micro switch and the micro switch is operating correctly(energises the green wire to the control board when level reaches a certain point). As I say, even though web sites say, the impeller jug (flow meter)will fit my model, I can’t find it. Any help appreciated. Thks

Martin yes, It was when I went looking for that part, and saw the picture of it, I could not find it on my model of dishwasher. The description says “The sensor measures the flow and amount of water that your dishwasher is filled with, essentially a water metering device known as an impeller jug or flow meter. “, I think my model is using the pressure chamber and micro switch to indicate when enough water is in the machine. Thks ger

It also HAS an Impellor jug. Take another look behind the fill matrix. 😉

I’ve have just double checked the suffix (/46) of your machine and it does NOT have an Impellor jug fitted. The general parts listing of SGV53E03GB’s shows them as having one fitted. Apologies for the confusion. 🙁

Does the circulating pump operate at any time during the filling sequence?

No. I would have thought that when float level reaches the right point (pressure operated diaphragm with micro switch) , the circulation pump would kick in. The micro switch is working ok, because it energises the wire from the float switch and this wire goes back to the control board.

The pump should indeed start up at that point. You also mentioned all the LED’s light up on the panel, that shouldn’t happen. Only the power LED and the last programme previously used should light up.
