    This d/w is completely dead – power from door switch to board but no lights or anything happening when switched on. Tried to get cover off board but it started to crack and I didn’ want to damage it. Thinking board has failed but would welcome any other thoughts.

    It certainly sounds like a board failure to me. They are dead easy to remove, no force required. Just bend back the metal locating tabs on the fascia panel then unclip the plastic latches at each bottom edge of the PCB unit and it comes free…!!

    Note carefully the position of the buttons before removing the waterproof cover. And re-fitting…don’t forget to press in those metal tabs otherwise it’ll fall out soon as you try pressing a button…!! 😯
