Not a job as such [old school mate], pump was running all the time, as suspected base flooded! Ho hum, couldn’t pull m/c out [integral], my mate says he will contact builder who built the house, ok says me, 2hrs later he rings up ” got it out ,using a car jack under base unit”, blimey charlie! Unfortunately due to his efforts, water in base takes out motor, dead short 😡 😡 .I couldn’t see where the leak was, checked salt contianer nut, no water streaks ,so any other place to look before fitting a new motor?

That is very, very unusal. I have never had that happen 😕 . First time for everything though I suppose.

The easiest to check is make sure that bottom spray arm is correctly clipped together and that bottom door seal has not wrinkled and come away.
Motor seals have been known to leak, if you remove motor and impellor it will be obvious if this is the case.Also worth checking heater and inlet valve for leaks.
The worst to find is pin hole in tank due to salt. remove filters and check around the recess where it sits and behind feeder tube to top spray arms.
Plenty to be going on with eh 😆

Hi boro, I think what happened was the D/washer was that tight in place ,hence the car jack :rolls: ,he must have tipped it when extracting the thing! Them motors are expensive ,do you think I could try drying it out ,say leave it in a warm room , ie boiler room?
I’ve had pin holes before in the tubs but that was a few years ago, not seen one for a while but you never know, ho hum 🙁 .
regards Chris..case for a hair dryer have you checked the rim between the cabinet and white base if and particals gets in the rim will cause a leak.My tip take the top unit off fill with orang and may see the laek
