ParticipantHi All,
somehow ( suspect little fingers) our dishwasher has an issue , almost like the settings have been locked although I don’t think it has a child lock in it?
it seems to be stuck on an 18 minute cycle with all the same programmes selected ( all lit up) can’t seem to reset it , is there a specific way to reset it using the two reset buttons?
Trued turning power off for 10 minutes , didn’t work , pressed the buttons in all configurations ( probably made it worse)any suggestions?

ParticipantHi Dave , yes, the door feels fine – I’ve actually just got it working by pressing and holding the reset buttons down as i pressed the power button , then pressed a couple of other buttons , shut the door and off it went , Ive just opened it up and it’s taken the tablet and is getting hot , but don’t think it’s right still , I’ll see what happens at the end of the cycle

ParticipantActually , it’s just finished , it looks to have done a complete wash cycle , water has emptied , everything is nice and clean and hot but when I turn it off and on again it reverts back to all lights on and 18 on the display – bizarre
At least today’s pots are washed 🙂

ParticipantStill needs resolving if anyone has any ideas – I can probably fudge it and get it working again but the missus isn’t happy and she’s threatening to spend money 😮

Moderatorone of the things that can happen on bosch dishwashers is the plastic case of the programmer breaks the little plastic bits that push the buttons on the timer board. this means you push the buttons but unless this in turn operates the switches on the board nothing happens

ParticipantMmm, don’t think this is the case , if I turn it off hold down a different button whilst turning it on – each but seems to something , god knows what but it changes something so I’m pretty sure all buttons are making contact

ParticipantSo, I’ve been looking around on the internet and thought maybe the 18 on the display is an error 18 , I’ve had the thing apart tonight , took the drain pump out and checked – it’s all clear, took the rubber valve out , blew through the waste pipe and that was clear , gave everything a clean out – switched it back in full of optimism only to find it almost exactly the same , apart from when I press and hold the reset buttons the ‘18’ turns to zero but the buttons all stay lit so maybe a little progress .
when I get it to run a cycle through trial and error it fills with water, it gets hot and it drains ..
frustrating to say say the least

ParticipantI think it’s mechanically working as it should, it lets water in, it heats it up and it pumps it out, I reckon it’s the memory corrupted , it’s supposed to remember the last chosen program and select that when first turned on but I think it’s selecting them all at once which obviously isn’t right.
im going to leave the power add at the wall over night to see if it clears the memory somehow , not convinced though

Moderatormust admit I did not think it would work
the fact all light come on sounds like a timer fault
it may be as simple as a blown smoothing capacitor in the power supply but it does sound like a board fault
