One washing machine salesman showed me a Bosch or Siemens i-Dos washing machine yesterday. Are these machines any good and the i-Dos feature worth paying extra for, or is it just a gimmick adding to the price of the machine but not necessarily making it easier to use or giving cleaner laundry?

Why not look on the left of the screen here and buy one of the excellent ISE10’s, comes with a 10 year guarantee and ‘does what it says on the tin’ and superbly i might add 😀

So far as I know it’s liquid detergent only, which you can’t have bleach in and (we think) is one part of the cause of smelly washing machine thing.

I looked at it in IFA last year and more or less regarded it as a gimmick TBH.

But, I guess if you think you’ll need it or use it then it might be worth it depending on what it costs, I’ve not bothered to look at the pricing.

I don’t think the ISE is available in the country where I live, but the washing machine on the http://iseappliances.co.uk/ site looks very much like an Asko (and I see the website also says that the ISE machines are made by Asko). I haven’t looked into Asko machines yet, but I intend to do so before making a final decision.

Yes the ISE10 is made by Asko, so if you could buy one of those then you’d be as happy as i am

Sweden is quite close to you ( Norway ) so you should have good access to Asko appliances.

They are better than the Bosch machines. 😉

Yes, I think I’ll have a look at the Asko W65672W.
