ParticipantMaybe a silly question but where the heck are the suppressors on the newer type dishwashers? Used to be pushed the the back of the terminal block at the rear…. Now I can’t see to find it!! Please help!

There’s 2 types, 1 on the back of the terminal block, the other just to one side of it. I guess you didn’t remove the R/hand side panel then?

Yes I had the right hand side panel off! But I could not see it! The supply wires come off the terminal block and seem to go towards the sump, then back on themselves tooth loom, through the door and up to the “on/off” switch???

Then I have the same puzzled look on my face as your avatar TBH. 😕
Is there a problem with the machine anyway?

ParticipantSome later machines have a ‘suppressor’ built into the main board.

I’m confused, doesn’t take much these days, please forgive me Jazz but first you mention a SRS55C02GB/01 that doesn’t appear to have a suppressor yet the BSH shows it as having a 600233 suppressor fitted to the back of the mains terminal block. But then you went on to say that there was no trouble with it. But another (maybe a Neff?) you also couln’t find a suppressor but your customer phoned Bosch who said it was the suppressor at fault but again you can find one in there! 😯
Who’s nicking the suppressors?

I’m even more confused with this….Are you saying Paul that an SRS55C02GB/01 that shows a suppressor on the BSH website schematic may not have one at all? I was under the impression that electrical safety standards insist on all earthed appliances must have a mains filter/suppressor fitted at the nearest point to where the mains supply is earthed to the metal cabinet? 😕

What NomadPaul is refering to is the very new range of BSH dishwashers where the main power module is mounted at the bottom R/H side. The mains lead plugs directly into the power module like a kettle lead, so the suppressor is integral to the power module. As for the missing suppressors, if you find the mains terminal block without a suppressor mounted to it, you will find one mounted to the side of the terminal block on the back of the base (in between the terminal block & inlet valve). Its a bugger to replace due to its location. Sometimes on the parts diagram it is not very clear as to the where-abouts of some of the components.
