Bosch slimline dishwasher will not pump out

Hello,

My mother’s 3 month old bosch slimline dishwasher will not pump out and seems to fill with foam.

I drained the dishwasher today, removed the filter and the torx screw to check the impeller, which was not obstructed.

The only thing i can think is that the pipe has some form of obstruction.

Can somebody advise what panels (and how) i need to remove to get to the pipe inside the machine.

does the machine drain through a sink spigot connection or stand pipe?
can you hear the pump running when you first start the machine?

Thanks for the reply.

The machine drains through a sink spigot and I can’t hear the pump when it starts up.

We have a similar model here and I did note this evening the pump came on when a cycle starts.

Does this point to a blocked pipe?

if you cant here the pump you will have to re-look at the impeller again by removing the torx screw, ive known broken glass to get under the pump and you cant see it cos its clear…so be careful!!!
the pump should give a springy kick (when turning by hand)every quarter to half turn, if you are satisfied that the pump is ok drain the machine via a bucket or run the drain hose outside, people do run fat and rubbish down their sinks that end up in the machines waste pipe.
another thing to check is normally by the impeller is a rubber one way valve they can get stuck and stop water exiting, push on it to see if it moves, you will probably get a little backflush when doing this.
Failing this and possible drain hose blockages then call out bosch for warranty repair!

I laid the pipe flat and water ran out.

I then ran a short programme and it pumped out and has worked ever since.
