Bosch Slimline SRS4302GB/02 fault with salt light

Hi – customer lives in hard water area and has always kept the salt reservoir topped up. Machine is 9 years old. Problem is salt reservoir needs re-filling after every wash and the dishes still feel greasy and have a white deposit on them and salt light is on constant. So far used 6 kilos of salt…. Any suggestions?

In almost all cases it’s the salt cap not secured properly or the gasket. In rare cases the salt valve (Part No 166875) can stick open also but far less likely.
