Bosch SMS 4452 dishwasher leaving from overflow

Hi I’ve got a bosch 4452 dishwasher.
on the left hand side of the washer there is an intricate plastic setup which controls the filling. in the bottom right hand corner to the right of the microswitch and float assembly is a 3/8″ overflow hole or air vent which on the third cycle of filling overflows for about 10 seconds until the water level drops and the washer starts to wash. Any idea whats causing this.
There appears to be no blockages I can see and the water appears to fill properly. Any help appreciated. 😕

Suspect that your sump hose is partially blocked.

Cleaned out the pipe, only found two tiny lumps, but they were obviously enough. Works perfectly now.
