    Hi,

After completion of a cycle opened the door and the water level is still over the heater element.

Have also had water leaking from the front of the unit.

I have checked the drain pipe and cannot see any blockage.

Could this be the pump or is this a simple fix?

    Any help mmuch appreciated 😀

    Cheers

Drain pump will almost certainly be the problem – blocked or failed. The water level will normally be below the element, but, the way in which the water level control system works on this appliance, it is possible for the machine to double fill if the machine doesn’t drain.

    Power off, if investigating…….

    Thanks for the reply Penguin45

Just read of a few people that have had the non return valve sticking shut, and wonder if it could be this. The model is at least 10 years old though.

Access is via a torx screw according to the replys, but I can only see two philips screws underneath the rotating sprayhead. Are the torx screws only on the newer units or am i looking in the wrong place?

Will give it some stick tomorrow…. 😈

    Cheers

Torx access applies to SGS series machines. The SMS series is an older set up – the drain pump is mounted separately underneath at the front. Bail out as much water as you can before attempting removal – you’ll be paddling otherwise!
