Bosch SMS 58E32GB/73 Error code E31

Our dishwasher seems to have lost heating and is showing error code E:31. This is not in the manual and niether google or the forum search can find it.
The dishwaster seems to go all the way through the cycle, but at the end the contents are cold and wet.
Is it a blown element?

there are a few things it can be
1 blown element
2 timer

on your model the heater is part of the motor so its a complete unit at £111 + from bosch

unfortunately they are not as strong as the old style bosch heaters

Spoke to my local repairer – the excelent chelmsford repairs – they reached the same conclusion and recomended I take out the Bosch/lGeneral and Domestic annual plan as it would cost the same as a oneoff repair. They are coming tomorrow.

Much sucking of teeth and negoiation with Bosch later it is now being repaired.
E31 is a fault in the heater for the zeolite unit, this has probably led to water in the unit, and damage to the heater/pump.
Close to beyond economic repair, not great for 2 1/2 years old
