ParticipantHi,
I’ve been out to a couple of these newer BSH machines in the last few weeks with E24 faults. Now E24 or 25 is usually a drain pump fault I know. Plastic piece in the filter come away, pump blocked a little etc. I’ve checked everything and changed the pump but the problem still exists.
I’ve put the fault down to a faulty PCB in the end but I was just wondering if there is something that i’ve been missing.
Also do anybody know the fault codes for the machines with no display, just flashing lights.Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
Nick

E24 can also be a blocked or slow running heat pump . The non-return valve by the pump , if jammed slightly open (classic example was a cherry stem ) can also be the cause.

Thanks for the reply Paul,
Is there any easy way of knowing if the heat pump is blocked without taking it out?August 13, 2016 at 5:03 pm #440099nomadPaul

When does the error code occur ? The start up procedure on one of these is normally as follows:
Approx 30-45 secs draining
Pause
Heat pump fires up for approx 10-20 secs
Pause
2 sec burst of water to set flow rate
Pause
Fill.
Maybe you can work out where in this sequence it fails ?August 15, 2016 at 5:43 pm #440100grooster

Sorry for the late reply.
The two I’ve had in the last few weeks that I can remember, don’t get to the 2 seconds on water stage. They just continue to drain for about 2/3 mins then fault.
I had one about a month ago that would work intermittently. I always knew once I heard the water go in for a few seconds that it would work. Then the next time it would drain again then fault.August 15, 2016 at 7:54 pm #440101timdowning

Just FYI, If you open & close the door 3 or 4 times in that first 60 seconds then this seems to trick the dishwasher past its initial checks…

I found that out by accident with one of them. When it has been draining for what seemed like too long, I opened the door a couple of times and it seemed to work again until the next drain and fill.

If it only does it during drain and doesn’t go on to fill/heat pump then I’d be looking closely at pump. Possibly drawing too much current

I always swap the pump as routine first and its always a brand new one. Always have a couple on the van.

Sorry mid-read didn’t see you changed pump, I know others have changed door lock which cured similar problems
