ParticipantCan anyone tell me the size of capacitor for the above machine please. The customer threw out the old one. Part number from Bosch is 043889 but is obsolete.
Thank you

Model number of the dishwasher would be an immense help for us Dave. 😕
Most of the modern D/w’s are between 4 and 6 mf as a rule so any pattern capacitor with the correct rating will be a runner!

043889 comes up on Connect as “obsolete capaciter (sic) interference”
If it’s the interference filter you need and not the motor uF, any old thing will do, such as a Merloni or Beko one. You can hold it in place with cable ties etc.

I can remember at least one slimline model that had a 1.5uf. Think those motors were smaller – same diameter but shorter body. Also, it is possible that if there is a label on the motor it will state the capactor value. Can’t recall seeing a label on a Bosch dw mtr (though not done many) but might be printed on the alu somewhere.

Just look at the mf rating written on the motor capacitor and then go from there. My earlier post on the subject a good starting point.

ParticipantThe customer came in to ask for the capacitor so I will tell him to have a look to see if its printed on the motor. Thanks for the help guys.
