i’ve got a venerable Bosch dishwasher that has run perfectly for over 15 years! It’s now shorting out my house’s power and I guess it’s the heating element that’s gone. The problem is that I can’t find anywhere that does spares for this old girl. Anyone know a good site that I can go to?
Thanks!May 26, 2007 at 11:10 pm #215091Penguin45

15 year old Bosch should have model info on the casing surround at approximately the one o’clock position.

You could always test the heater to confirm you know 😀
The older Bosch used to suffer from damage to the loom at the point where the door and loom pivotted, some bare wires even burnt a hole through the stainless 😯
Has to be worth a check there if heater tests ok.
Un plug appliance if you are to investigate :plug:Greg

Hi
If it turns out to be the heater it is p/no 282746 possibly available for spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk but due to age it may be obsolete 😕

Part shouldn’t be obselete, however if you can’t get it through Appliance Care or the Bosch web site http://www.bshappliancecare.com/Bosch/boschspares.html
(then click on QuickFinder to open the spares section and type in your model number), a decent spares supplier should be able to give you the Hotpoint equivalent (as they used the Bosch dishwashers at that time) which I have always found to be cheaper than the Bosch labelled item (identical apart from part number label)May 28, 2007 at 6:37 pm #215097Penguin45
