ParticipantEvening all,
Looking for some suggestions as to what to try next with our dishwasher, have searched Google and the forums and have tried the obvious things.
The dishwasher stops mid-cycle. If doing a 30 minute quick wash it stops 10 minutes in.
When starting the cycle it pumps water out for about a minute (if you stop it at this point the inside is dry).
Then it goes through pumping water in, spends 5 minutes or so spraying and cleaning and whatever else it does. Then it pumps out again.
Then it starts taking in water again. Does it for maybe half a minute before stopping with an E18 error. If opening the door at this point there is a bit of water in the bottom but only really just to the top of the filter.
I’m a little unclear if the error code relates to not draining away or a problem with the supply, different things I’ve read suggest different things. I’ve tried:
– taking off the supply pipe and cleaning the little red filter. Also tested that there’s a decent pressure on the supply.
– taking out the filter in the bottom and giving it a good clean. Also took out the plug thing in the bottom inside the machine and turned the impeller removing a few little bits of debris.
– tilting the machine forward back left and right.
– taking the left hand side panel off. There’s the big water reservoir thing where the water snakes through. When coming in there’s a little wheel with electrical attachment which is turning as it should be.
– taking off the waste pipe and checking for blockages.
What’s confusing me is that it appears to take water in and drain fine once during the first 10 minutes of the cycle before stopping. Have tried other cycles but they also stop at various points.
Nothing I’ve tried has made any difference unfortunately. Any pointers of things to try would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Steve -
