Bosch SMS40C12GB/03…Door not locking

The catch on this machine lets the door open during cycle & on visual check can’t see what’s wrong with it. Catch in the lid looks fine.
the parts list shows it connects to a sensor inside the door, not sure how these work.
Should be simple I know, The door does’nt feel right when you close it.
Anyone help?

Try it with baskets out, could be something fouling the door. Also check the white trim that meets the top edge of the door when closed, could also be fouling it. Wiz

Yep , tried the baskets out as I’ve had it before.
Probably order a new catch & see what appens.

its not a sensor its simply a magnet and reed switch. Very little mechanical locking with that door lock. I would check the hinge pins have not lost the white plastic “U” shaped bearings causing a very slight misalignment of the door
