ive got a bosch SMS4472 and have the white film problem
its been cleaned out thoroughly and salt is left on all surfaces even when hardness adjustment is at zero
the salt container gets through all the salt in a few washes
gasket on lid is fine
could there be a valve sticking
can anyone help?

Very likely Richard, the ‘Regeneration Valve’ Part No 051835 is available by email order to spares@ukwhitegoods.co.uk (enclosing this information)
Just double check the salt cap and the threads on the salt container aren’t damaged but I’m 95{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} certain it needs a new valve.
An easier option is to get a local engineer in to fit it for you, try Repairs@ for one in your area 🙂
