KeymasterHi, I have a Bosch SMS6032GB/14, it appears to fill & drain correctly but will not wash, no water is coming through the spray arms so the dishes don’t get wet, I have checked ther arms and filters etc and cannot find any blockages, when the dishwasher is on any program there is a small buzz every now and then as if something is stuck/jammed, does anyone have any ideas please? Stuck motor perhaps.

Oh dear 🙁
It could well be the main motor is jammed (usually followed very quickly with a burning smell)
You are sure it does actually fill with water though, have you seen it in the tub??

Hi Martin
Thanks for the quick response, there is water filling in from the side (insert) of the unit which does give me water within the dishwasher so when I open the door during a program I can see water at the bottom, but no water coming through the arms

I meant to mention that I don’t get a burning smell really, the elements are heating up which gives if a smell and after a time glow red but presumably that is beacuse there is is not much water in the tub

Neil,
I think now from your elaborations 🙂 that the problem is possibly not the motor at all 😀 . More likely a flooded base plate due to a blockage in the main sump/meter tank hose ❓ .
This really is NOT a DIY fix and therefore it would be incorrect for me to say further on that other than to advise getting an engineer in to sort it.
Do check out our “Directories” section and pop in your Postcode 😉

Hi
These older Bosch machines tend to fill 3 times, possibly you only getting 2. The buzz is the aquastop unit solenoid wanting to fill but has gone into flood mode. As Martin said, time for an engineer.Greg

Martin
Have you got a rough idea of cost assuming it is a blocked hose?
Thanks
