    Hi all,

I own Bosch Dishwasher sms69l22gb/50. The dishwasher will allow me to start wash cycles but after a while they all finish with error code 04. When I open the dishwasher after it errors it is wet inside but still cold. No standing water, but looks like it doesn’t get hot. I can’t for the life of me fins much information about this dishwasher or a consistent picture on the error code. I’ve found a few different verdicts on a Bosch with this error code so I’m not sure where to start.

    Any ideas anyone?

    Thanks
    Jon

    shows a water inlet fault

if i had to take a guess then i would choose this part

cant promise it will cure it but its likely

    Hi Dave,

Thanks for taking the time to reply with that, that gives me a bit of hope.

I can’t quite see which page you’re referring to on that pdf that says E04 relates to a water inlet fault. Would you mind pointing that page out please and I’ll have a read?

Happy to purchase the part. Do you know where I can find a diagram or something that shows me where this part is found, so that I can replace it?

    Cheers
    Jon

I may have read it wrong. its the way is worded
it says display 4 litghts up but they mean the lamp no 4 on the display not error 4. sorry

what you need to do is see whats happening

all dishwashers start the programme with the drain pump
    then it fills
then when its full it starts to wash

if it fails it will pump out and stop the programme

    where does yours fail ?

    part diagrams are easy

    Thanks Dave.

It seems to do the pre rinse fine as everything’s wet. There’s no water in the bottom so its draining fine. It doesn’t error quickly. It’s a while (seems to be the usual time it takes) before it beeps to signal it’s finished. It’s only at that point that I’ve then checked it, and seen the error code. So maybe it has errored earlier but I’ve not been in the room to check. I’ve only checked when it does it beeps to signal its finished. When I’ve checked there’s no heat at all, so it’s not got as far as that. I’ll have to maybe sit in the room and keep an eye on the LCD on the front.

I was just looking for a manual for this model. By the way, if you have another format, you can convert it to PDF using the online tool https://pdfguru.com/djvu-to-pdf which I use to convert DjVu to PDF. This tool preserves the original layout, images, and text with high accuracy during the conversion. It might also come in handy for someone else since PDF instructions are indeed easier to use.
