Hi. My Bosch dishwasher has the check water light flashing now, I decided to take a look and see if I could figure it out. From what I read there was a good chance that the water inlet valve might be needing replaced. I couldn’t find this valve in the location that most seem to have it. My water pipe comes straight in the back of the dishwasher and up into the water inlet housing on the left of the dishwasher. The inlet housing has the inlet pipe and 4 other pipes attached to it at the bottom. It also has a wire going to it which I assume is for a sensor or something. I was thinking the whole housing might need replaced so I took it off, but then proceeded to just put it back on again. For some reason I decided to not connect the small wire and see if it worked. Lo and behold it decided to work again! After a test wash I connected the wire back up again and it still worked! So I put it all back together thinking it was sorted, but on the next wash it just stopped again mid wash and wouldn’t come back on. Disconnected that small cable again today and now it’s working!

The dishwasher had recently been leaving some undissolved tablets in it and some of the dishes not being cleaned too well, so I’m thinking this inlet housing might need replaced.
Just wondering if anyone has any advice.
    Thanks

Well from what you are explaining it sound like the heat pump needs replacing the check water light flashes to indicate any fault on the machine

Thanks, I should clarify that the tablets weren’t totally undissolved, just was leaving some tablet residue behind recently. But I can confirm that the machine is heating up well from what I can see

    as Kia says

water lamp steady then its a water problem

water light flashing means it could be anything else

not a helpful fault location system

Am I right in thinking that white plastic water inlet housing is basically the water inlet valve, ie there’s no other water inlet valve? Is it also the outlet?

Went with my gut instinct and bought a new water inlet housing unit. Luckily it’s working great now, hope it stays like that.
