Bosch SMV4HVX38G/45 finishes program after 30 seconds

This 2023 Bosch SMV4HVX38G/45 dishwasher can start a program but doesn’t get beyond the drain pump phase. The board relay clicks but no action from the pump and then timer goes down to 0:00 and machine beeps to signify finish. No error codes.

I was able to get the pump to run on one occasion by manually turning it but then the same process didn’t work after that.

I will go back and replace both drain pump and heat pump to see whether that gets any result.

Any thoughts? I haven seen this one before.

I’ve not come across that exact behaviour, but from occasional experience of abnormal pump behaviour at the start of the cycle on this dishwasher platform, I too would suspect a pump fault. A bug in the on-board diagnostic software may explain the lack of a fault code, or alternatively suggest a hardware failure on the pcb.

I assume you are aware that the machine is still under the manufacturer’s 2-year guarantee.

Thanks for the input, will endeavour to update the thread once I’ve replaced the pump.

As for the warranty, it’s in a commercial environment!
