Bosch SMV50C00GB/07 dishwasher

The D/W will fill and wash and heat. Then will switch off. All lights go out. This is random. Some times it will come back on its self.
When it goes off I can remove the mains plug from the module, a relay clicks and the display comes back on. Suspect a faulty module p/n 00656030 ?
Anyone had this fault?

does sound like a board fault

I would take the side off and when it fails check mains is still getting to the board

you could also if you feel confident find the power supply chip on the board, find the output caps and see if the power supply on the board is causing the failure. if yes you may be able to fix it by changing the power supply chips

Their is a permanent mains supply to the board. If the power supply on the board has failed would it have no output? The fault is a random no output failure

not true these chips can be intermittent, you need to check the output after failure. Its not often these chips do this, most of the time they just short and blow the resistor or just stop but its possible
