I have a Bosch smv50c10gb that is stopping after the first rinse (appears to be when it is draining) restarting it normally gets it to work. It has the tap light on when it stops.

From the research i have done i think it is an issue with the level float getting stuck but i can’t locate it.

the only float in that machine is the overflow sensor in the base. if that was triggered it could not be restarted

if its a drain fault check for blockages

Thanks Dave, so I have thoroughly checked for blockages(pump, pipe from pump, labyrinth, drain hose and drain it drains into)

So a few things have progressed, I have been watching the side of the machine pulled whilst it is pulled out into the room and I can see it draining and filling fine but I have seen what it is doing when it stops.

So it has got worse, current symptoms are it stops randomly (before wash, after pre rinse, later before rinse?) And beeps with the tap light on. When it does finish it also has the tap light on.

    So I am stumped.

    well its very probably

in the left side fill module is the small pcb. its job is to count the water in. if it fail then the tap light comes on and the machine will think its overfilling and pump out the water. ignore the plastic frame its only for packaging

you would need to check this is the correct one for your machine as you have not included the last 2 digits of the Enr number

or you could find a similar reed switch and solder it on. I do that all the time
