Bosch SMV53A00gb/03 failed after install

I inadvertantly left the salt cap off after initial fill up (day doing accounts then a tricky install head a little fried to say the least 🙁 ) so hopefully that hasn’t caused the problem.
On first test after install, select programme and it drains as normal, fills nearly to wash level then beeps, drains and shows a tap sign in the display.
The customer is Mr Fussy , charidee golf, round table, pringle and farrah man so, to say the least, I just want this one out the way. Already had to knock him money off as sales at Swift told me this was a s/s base and not polynox 👿 .

Any ideas???

Hi, I had one like this that was connected to a cut in tap. I found that the tap even though it looked fully open wasnt letting very much water through.

The thought had crossed my mind as the tap is fairly stiff to turn off/on. The machine is fairly slow to fill, but is almost to level when the programme aborts.

Not 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} on this mate but is it possible that it has a time to fill in and if it doesnt get to the right level in that time it will abort?

Had to get Bosch out, quoted seven days originally,even with a brand new unpaid appliance, Swift intervened and got two days(thanks Swift Sales ;-)). Turned out to be faulty flow meter/ tank.
