Getting a poor wash on this Bosch and discovered the top wash blade is definitely not going around despite being as clean as whistle i.e. no blocked up holes, centre axial not blocked either, looks like the very top spinning impellor wheel goes around so the conveyor pipe isn`t blocked up and the top blade`s own conveyor basket pipe is clear too! Had a look at the Bosch spares site and discovered part 00644996 water distribution motor`d disc thing that switches water between the bottom wash blade then as the disc moves sends most of the water to the top blade alternatively. After messing about locating this part I found what appears to be a white disc and hole almost lined up with the bottom water exit hole to the bottom wash blade In other words part`s 00644996 disc bit aien`t going round / working as I`ve kept start stopping the dishwasher and it certainly is not going around! I did my testing on prewash – cold water – idea was to see if the disc`s motor got warm, it doesn`t so presume the motor coil is a duffy. Question is: has anyone ever changed that part as a unit and if so got any tips please such as I presume you do not have to remove the whole tank assembly just to get at it?. Looks like another one of Bosch`s brainless pieces of engineering to get at at the moment. Looks like I`ll have to remove the wash motor. Is part 00644996 clipped in place or a twist fit, difficult to tell without actually having one in my hand???

    It’s a twist fit.

Suck out every drop of water from the dishwasher.

    Lay it on its back.

    Disconnect door strings.

    Pull the base unit down.
Then remove the sump unit with the heat pump, pump & distributor still attached.

I would change the sump at the same time as they do warp slightl anyhow causing slight leaks.

I would allow 1 1/2 hours to do with testing…

Success! Did try it without replacing the sump because it was out of stock at the time and yes you are 100{e5d1b7155a01ef1f3b9c9968eaba33524ee81600d00d4be2b4d93ac2e58cec2d} right the thing leaked. Replaced the sump from a supplier who had it in stock (£33 ) and redid it and now all is well.
NOTES when cleaning the stainless steel rim of the tank where the sump fits watch those fingers as it as sharp as a knife. They recommend using rinse aid on the sumps rubber seal but we didn`t have any so used a very small amount of washing up liquid instead which worked out very well.
