Hi all,
I am new to this forum and this is my 1st post. I am hoping that you may be able to help me with my trusty >15 year old dishwasher!
A couple of days ago it blew the consumer unit earth leakage breaker repeatedly, although it took longer and longer to blow after each reset. This was with the dishwasher plugged in but NOT running. Therefore I am presuming that the mains filter is on its way out (it ran tonight with NO issue). I have looked for a replacement but it would appear to be unsupported anymore. Its original Bosch part code was: 00163312 but was replaced by 00498261 but this has also become life expired. What I’d like to know is if the part 00468262 is a suitable replacement? Will it fit and is it of the correct rating? If not is there any other suitable replacement part? The device fitted is the traditional cylinderical shape with three leads (earth, live, neutral) but does not have any markings on it.
It would be a terrible shame to scrap this machine after over fifteen years of loyal service without a single failure in all this time, particularly for the sake of a £20 part!
