HI, PLEASE HELP!! THE DISHWASHER WAS NOT FILLING UP – FOUND INLET HOSE FILTER BLOCKED WITH LIMESCALE BUT THE WASH MOTOR WAS RUNNING EVEN WITH NO WATER IN IT…. SINCE CURING WATER FILL PROBLEM THE DISHWASHER WILL FILL BUT THEN SIT THERE DEAD… IF I CANCELL THE PROGRAMME THE WASH PUMP WOULD RUN AND THEN FINISH THE CYCLE WITHIN 4 MINUTES… LEFT THE DISHWASHER ON FOR A WHILE AFTER FILLING TO SEE IF THE WASH PUMP WOULD RUN WHEN THE WATER GETS TO TEMPERATURE… IT DID NOT SO CANCELLED THE PROGRAMME AND RETESTED…. NOW THE DISHWASHER OVER FILLED AND LEAKED AND ALSO CANNOT RESET THE PROGRAMME!!! I SUSPECT A MODULE FAULT BUT WOULD LIKE THIS CONFIRMED IF POSSIBLE???? SORRY FOR THE ESSAY!!!! HA HA. :rolls:

First of all Minge, welcome to the site. I must say your choice of pseudonym is rather (shall we say?) erm…..curious? 😕

Have you checked the fill matrix for blockages? Is the base now flooded (anti-flood device engaged?). Have you cleared the air hose to the inlet valves water block device?

It won’t be a “Module Fault” as that model doesn’t have one, just a mechanical timer and selector switch in fact. Resetting the programme requires pressing the 2nd and last button together IIRC? 😕

ha ha! sorry mate!
there is no sighn of blockages, only a small blockage by the air trap part of the chamber…. have tried ressetting the programme with the second and last buttons but still no joy.. it was ok, now not… can you tell me if the wash pump should come on straight away once filled or does it sit there and heat first?

sorry can you please explain the air hose to inlet valve bit?? i disconnected the pressure stat hose if thats what yu mean and reconnected it after blowing down it???

No at the start of any dishwasher cycle only the drain pump should operate!

If the wash pump runs (as in your case I guess?) then it hasn’t got to the end of the cycle. Try the 1st and last selector buttons to see if you can reset it back to the start. Failing that poke a screwdriver into the timer cam and do it manually!

I’m referring to the remote inlet/safety valve. As far as I recall this machine has an external inlet valve. The air hose from that valve back to the machine may need clearing? The usual procedure is simply to disconnect the valve from the stopcock then reconnect and turn water on. But in some cases, especially in a flood situation? It’s best to blow thru the hose from the valve end to ensure it’s clear?

I would check the Pressure Chamber and system for blockages etc.
This unit is situated at the top rhs of the fill matrix and has small tube coming off it to the pressure switch 😉

This is a prefill machine – there is a tank on the back wall of the machine. The softener unit solidifies over time – beating it gently with the plastic handle of a screwdriver usually breaks it up and gets things moving again.
