ModeratorThis is a Bosch slimline dishwasher SRS43C12GB21 with a pathetic spray pressure through the arms, so much so that the arms fail to turn at all. I even tripped the door switch to watch it with the door open and the water just sprays weakly from each arm in turn as the alternating valve swops the spray from one to the other. there is insufficient pressure to operate the heater switch either, the circ pump sounds like its running at full speed but difficult to tell. Its a big job to investigate the pump, just wondering if anyone has come across this problem before?

only when the cardboard insert of a milk bottle top has become lodged in the pipe, restricting the flow,

HI Mark, Ihad a built in Neff dishwasher (S4443b6gb/01) the other day with the same symptom.
The customer had told me that he had taken some broken glass out of the drain pump and I thought that perhaps some glass had damaged the wash motor impellor.
I went back with a new impellor and two hours later was still scratching my head.
I stripped the damn thing down to its shell but found no problem with the impeller and no blockages anywhere. I can only assume that the diverter valve is at fault…
I did notice that there is a tacho feedback on the motor. Anyone any idea what that’s for?

Very likely it will be a blockage into the circulating pump which will indeed involve full strip-down to investigate what’s in there? I would arm yourself with a 183638 Impellor & Seal Kit before taking it to bits though. 😉

That’s easy enough to check Bob. Just remove the top spray pipe and look into the Heater unit to check the position of the ‘Water Point’ cam. It changes position every 50 seconds or so from top spray to bottom with a 5 second delay as it switches.

I’m not entirely sure on that but suspect it is associated with the water point device and that 5 second change-over period? 😉

Just to make it clear 😀
Bob has the water point system (it can jam and may also blow the module),
Marks is just the basic heater unit, repair (most likely as Martin said) 😉Greg

Bob
A lot of Zanussi D/W use a tacho for ‘variable speeds of rotation’ (as in TDS) so presumably Neff is similar

No, just the one speed no tacho 🙂

I’m assuming that the water levels are ok and the sump hose and pressure chamber has been checked.
If so then there must a blockage somewhere in the circ pump or the impeller has come loose or faulty.

Ask them if they dishwash their old tins so that the labels foul the impellor chamber.

Turns out it was a piece of clear wrpping paper of some sort stuck in the impellor. Even better i fished it out using long nose pliers once the grey plastic surround of the sump was removed. Now back to full pressure!
Thanks for all your help and suggestions. Good luck with your Bob!and oh, and Superfix, good to see you using the correct line up in your avatar, non of that Marky nonsence!
