I have a problem with my bosch dishwasher – it isn’t draining properly, leaving visible dirty water at the bottom at the end of every cycle – sometimes less sometimes more – and it isn’t cleaning the dishes well. After reading helpful advice on this website, it seems as if the non-return valve or drain pump may be to blame. However, I can’t seem to access either of these – going down through the filter bits at the bottom, removing as many screws as I can just presents a white shell, with no visible screws. I’d like to make sure the pump blades are clear – but I can’t get to them! Does anyone know how I should proceed?

From the back of the machine, I can’t remove the waste pipe to see if it is clear either.

Washing-up by hand is killing me – any advice would be really useful! 🙁

The drain pump is mounted separately from the sump on this machine – there is no access from the sump chamber. It would be neccessary to remove the machine from the housing, and panels from the machine to gain access.

If you are not confident with this, engineer time – check the repairs@ facility or Directories for UKW repairer in your area.

If you are going to have a go, power of please.

Thanks v much for the advice, no wonder I couldn’t locate anything to fix! My recent strategy of waiting, then trying it again every few days doesn’t seem to be working, so it sounds as if I need to call in the experts, unless I can find some instructions somewhere on how to best dismantle the machine… will check out repairs@ presently.

    Ta,

    Danny
