ParticipantThe machine had a blown supressor and the board / program timings went mad so they have been both replaced but tried it on a couple of quick washes and noticed it seems to work fine but from about 5 mins to go from the end all it does is drain, Is that normal on a quick wash? Also if you interupt the prog at any point when you shut the door and turn it on to carry on it it seems to add about 5 – 10 mins onto the time left.
I have meggered the machine which is fine, Heater fine, Transfer pipe fine, the water chamber does seem to have a little gunk in but its filling ok.
I have heard that these need a couple of runs through for the timer to sort itself sometimes? Could that be the case or am i missing something?March 9, 2011 at 1:10 pm #346576Martin

I should think from what you say it just needs a good clean (pressure chamber and transfer pipe). Programme timings go AWOL and will readjust once sorted as a rule. The only caution is that the turbidity sensor could be gunged up so the customer will need to carry out a few hot washes with a dishwasher cleaner in order to attempt to remedy that fault.
HTH?:D

I’ve now cleaned the float chamber etc, all is fine there but i have now noticed that its not filling for the rinse, the circ pumps running, getting warm in there but just with no water in it, yet it fills for first bit fine everytime but doesn’t fill up for the rinse. (its on the quick wash it shows 14 mins to go and no / very little water in but circ pump etc running fine)
Any ideas?
Thanks in advanceMarch 9, 2011 at 5:10 pm #346578Martin

Getting warm with no water in it? Bl**dy nora. 😯
Is the pressure microswitch on the heater box jammed or what? 😕

Sorry martin that wasnt the best description i’ve ever put together. lol.
Do you mean the microswitch that is visable on the heater by just taking the side panel off? If so its not putting continuity to the heater all the time so would assume its ok. Or do you mean the water sensor on the heater? If so how could i test that?
I’m thinking could it be on of the valves on the metering tank/salt pot or someting? Although all have continuity through them.
Its just wierd how it fills up fine first time everytime but doesnt to seem to fill up properly later in the programme.March 10, 2011 at 12:33 pm #346583Martin

Yes, that operates by the pressure of water flowing from the circl pump and through the heater box. Only when there is sufficient water pressure will the microswitch operate and power the heater. The supply to the switch controlled by the module of course.

I wonder how much water actually goes into the tub on first fill? Does the heat exchanger fully drain its contents into the tub?
Once filling is complete the water level should be just around the neck of the salt container by the way. When the circulating pump fires up then the spray arms will rotate one at a time and change over every 55 seconds. I suspect in your case that that process ain’t happening maybe?

First off thanks for all your responses martin, Much appreciated.
The water level is definately a tad low,
I’ve now watched it fill up and it started filling as you would expect but i’ve always thought they filled the water chamber up, after a certain level it dumps that water in and the circ pump cuts in and then the rest of the water goes in but on this i’ve noticed the water is going straight into the tub and not fillin the water chamber really very much at all, then there’s a 5 or so second pause and the circ pump cuts in.
Any clues mate?March 10, 2011 at 3:20 pm #346585OLLIE2806

Also there is some ticking and gringing noises coming from the heater. Dont now if its the lack of water or if its even relevant but thought i’d share

In that case the heat exchanger outlet valve (the one on the right next to the salt valve) is at fault I would think.

Thanks again for all your help
