Bit of a weird fault TBH.
Initial complaint of no fill.
Set it to a prewash, there was a slight humming, ticking, sound which I’m certain was from the diverter motor on the heater box. There was a click and it stopped but no fill, after a few seconds the ticking noise started again then cut out.
I lifted the red rod from the float switch, the drain pump kicked in and as soon as I released it the darned thing started to fill.
It filled to correct level, but there was no main motor action, just the ticking from the top of the heater box.If I did a reset it would not drain, again just the ticking and then it started to fill, it then pulsed between fill and drain for a short while.
If I drained out the machine totally by holding the float rod and then doing a reset to a different programme it would not do the initial drain, just the clicking noise. 😕Apart from a pcb fault is there anything else I am missing?
Jim.
Forgot to say, this is possibly the cleanest dishwasher that wasn’t new I have ever seen , all innards clean and clear.

I don’t believe so Jim, as I too think that the PCB may be at fault here. As you rightly say it is an odd one, but tell me, have you done a visual on the PCB? I don’t think the heater diverter would be energised until the F1 (fill) level has been established. So as you reckon the clicking is coming from that region then the PCB must have gone AWOL for that to happen, if you see where I’m coming from?….but don’t hold me to it…OK? 😀

Not done a visual yet, the rather large explosion near here this morning rather messed up my plans, traffic has been chaotic, didn’t have time to look at the pcb and wanted to run it by ‘the experts’ first.
The worry is, has something blown the pcb, or has it just died. The diverter looks fine and does sound to be ticking over. 😕
PS. How are you on Whirlpool dryers marking clothes. 😉
