ParticipantBOSCH – SRV43M03GB Slimline Built-in Dishwasher
Bought in 2010 and installed by myself but not used until this week. i.e. out of warranty, but new.
Programme appears to start ok, can hear dishwasher running, but within 30 minutes no more noises can be heard.
After a few hours on opening the door without the finsihed beep being heard, there is a few cm of water at the bottom of the machine.
The tablet hasnt been disolved, the pots arent clean, no heat/steam apparent. On performing the reset procedure the machine makes some further running noises for about a minute then beeps to indicate completion.
The water has now drained.
No warning lights on (e.g. no water, no salt, no rinse aid)
I have tried on all the programmes, no difference.
Obviously the filters are clean becuase the machine is new, never been used with dirty plates etc.
In fact all i am trying to do is clean some glasses, which are fairly clean.
Any ideas?

I have tried them all : 65, 50, 35,rinse.
My only theories:
Something has seized, due to inactivity.
Kink in drain hose, although seems to drain ok when doing a reset.
Some kind of circuit board failure.

Main circulation pumps seize through inactivity so it could be that. Power off first then check to see if the rotor will turn by hand.

Is that accessed below the filter in the sump?
I assume the procedure is: torx screw undo, remove panel, hand turn rotor…

Right hand side panel off to access. Power off don’t forget!

Thanks very much Martin, I managed to free up the seized circulation pump yesterday and everything is running fine now 🙂

Hello,
Sorry to breach netiquette by reviving an old thread, but I have the same issue with the same model, so I thought it’d be acceptable.
If either of you chaps are still around, I’d be very grateful if you could let me know how to access the rotor blades on the circulation pump to free them up.
I have removed the right panel, but cannot see how to reach the rotor. I’m reluctant to poke around too much without an exploded view diagram or an expert’s advice.
Thanks a lot for reading.

It the motor is seized then the only course of action is to remove the circulating pump completely. You can in fact access the rotor cooling fins enough to try rotating the motor with a screwdriver or similar implement. But if is is jammed solid then don’t force it lest you damage the rotor.

Thanks for replying Martin.
How do I access the rotors to spin them?
I’m convinced that this is where the problem is as the DW fills and drains but doesn’t run on any cycle. It makes clicking noises as though it’s trying to engage the circulation pump, and the pump housing gets very hot to the touch after a little while, as though power is getting to it, but it makes no noise other than a very low hum.
The motor housing has a chalky/limescale build-up on it, and the dishwasher was out of action for five weeks, so I suspect it’s just welded it stiff.

You should be able to see the rotor through the motor end frame.

Thanks Martin,
I’m getting up close and personal to the motor, but I can’t see any way to spin it.
Attached is a picture of the view I have of the end frame, am I missing something obvious?
I’ve also attached a couple of pics from other angles in case that helps..!
